She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Language Arts Education and a Master of Education degree in Teaching Leadership and Academic Curriculum. She is certified to teach English/Language Arts for grades 5–12 in the state of Oklahoma and is also Lexia LETRS certified. She has more than 17 years of experience in English teaching and curriculum design, with extensive experience teaching middle school English and Pre-AP English courses. She has also served as an English Department Chair. Beyond classroom teaching, she has been actively involved in English curriculum development, teacher training, and professional development programs. She has designed instructional resources and professional learning materials for English teachers, and has contributed to the development of literacy instruction, intervention strategies, and assessment items grounded in the science of reading.
