She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Youngstown State University and a Master’s degree in English from the Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College. She is certified in 7–12 English Language Arts and also holds a Gifted Intervention Specialist certification. With 28 years of high school English teaching experience, her areas of instruction include writing, reading comprehension, speaking, and listening skills. She has taught a wide range of courses, including AP English Literature, AP English Language, foundational English courses, and dual-enrollment college courses. Over the past two years, she has participated in a teacher training cohort focused on personalized learning strategies. Combining decades of classroom experience with this specialized training, she builds strong connections with high school students and tailors lessons and reading selections to each student’s individual needs and interests, creating a truly personalized learning experience.
