Holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Anthropology and a Master of Public Health in Community Health Sciences, both from the University of California, Los Angeles. Has over twenty years of teaching experience, also became Science Department Chair, where she oversaw curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and the expansion of science programs. Has taught AP Biology in high school. In addition to teaching, she has published multiple educational resources, including Practice Makes Perfect: Biology and CliffsNotes AP Biology materials.
