Kostas P.

Kostas is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience teaching and tutoring Latin and Ancient Greek. His journey began in high school, where he was captivated by the rich history, stylistic elegance, and expansive vocabulary of these ancient languages. Kostas earned his undergraduate degree in Classics, graduating cum laude from Villanova University, where he studied under renowned scholars, including one of the world's foremost experts in Late Latin literature. He went on to complete an M.A. in Classical Studies at Villanova, which also marked the start of his teaching career at the university, working alongside his former instructors. Kostas specializes in Indo-European and Romance Linguistics, Etymology, Late and Medieval Latin, and Vulgar Latin. His academic interests also extend to the History of the Roman Republic, Ancient Greek Lyric Poetry, Old Greek and Roman Comedy, and Latin Epigraphy. With a deep belief in the transformative power of the Classics, Kostas is dedicated to inspiring a love of ancient languages and cultures in his students and empowering them to appreciate their timeless relevance.
