Holds a Master’s degree from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington Tacoma. Emily is a state-certified Computer Science teacher in Virginia, and has over a decade of experience teaching programming and computational thinking to students from elementary through high school. She has extensive experience designing and delivering Computer Science curricula for grades 3–12, including AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science Principles. She has successfully prepared students for AP exams and also served as an AP Reader for several years. She is proficient in a wide range of programming languages and tools, including Python, Java, Scratch, HTML/CSS, and has hands-on experience with robotics, game design, and applied computing projects.
