Dr. Kettyah Chhak is an accomplished science educator and curriculum developer with over 15 years of experience in creating and delivering engaging, standards-aligned educational content. As a Science Curriculum Writer for the New Jersey Center for Teaching and Learning, she specializes in designing comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Her work includes developing innovative lab activities, SMART notebook resources, and rigorous assessments for the Progressive Science Initiative (PSI). Dr. Chhak enriched learning environments in DeKalb County Schools by integrating technology into classrooms and fostering student leadership as a co-sponsor of the student council. Earlier in her career, she conducted cutting-edge research in atmospheric and oceanic sciences, serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology and as a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned her Ph.D. Dr. Chhak's commitment to science education and her drive to empower both students and educators have defined her impactful and dynamic career.
