With over 20 years of teaching experience, Ms. Taryn Chaifetz-Scheller is passionate about delivering tailored, engaging educational experiences for her students. She graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2006 with an M.S.Ed. in Science and Environmental Education. Her career spans public and private schools in Chicago, including the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, as well as schools in Los Angeles and Austin, TX. Additionally, she has worked at Chicago’s Brookfield Zoo, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium as an Aquarium Educator, and The Morton Arboretum as an Associate Manager of School Programs. Ms. Chaifetz-Scheller has taught a wide range of subjects from preschool through college, including biology, environmental science, chemistry, middle school physical, life, and earth sciences. With a deep love for nature, she integrates these experiences into her teaching to create meaningful connections for her students, helping them achieve academic success and beyond.
