Dr. Jeannie Whitlock is a veteran educator with 31 years of experience in the educational arena. Her 18 years of teaching experience includes kindergarten, second grade but focused in middle school math and Algebra. While teaching Algebra, the principal assigned multiple students who did not meet the educational requirements for the class, and she had 100% mastery at the end of every year she taught the class. Dr. Whitlock received master’s degree while teaching and went on to receive her doctorate during her 8 year administrative tenure. For the past 5 years, she has worked in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) field. She is experienced in analyzing educational needs and developing problem-based curriculum using hands-on authentic learning strategies from model rockets to teach force and motion to an externship at the local university to help students better understand genetics.
